8mdApples water
1/2cRed hots
3tbSugar

Peel and core the apples and chop into large chunks. Place in a saucepan and cover almost completely with water. Cover the pan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Reduce the heat and simmer for 20 minutes or until the apples are tender, stirring occasionally. Remove from the heat and spoon out as much water as possible. Add the red hots and sugar, and stir until dissolved. Cover and refrigerate.
